Shelly Lives in the Pittsburgh area. She has worked in different areas of small animal veterinary care for 17 years. She has four cats: Zim, George, Lydia, and Yoda. In her spare time she likes spending time with her grandson and being at the beach.
Scott was born and raised in Pittsburgh and following high school attended Median School to become a veterinary techician. Following graduation he worked for the University of Pittsburgh in biomedical research. He then relocated to Naples Florida, where he worked as a county shelter technician/animal control officer. After 7 years in Florida, working in almost every aspect of the field, Scott moved back to Pittsburgh 5 years ago where he is enjoying raising his 2 kids (Kylin and Kendall) with his wife Sara. Scott raised many reptiles in the past and currently has a Pug and a Boston Terrier (Fiji and Roxy). In his spare time he enjoys disc golf, watching sports and spending time with his family. After 16 years in the field Scott's love for animals is just a strong as it was when he decided this was to be his career path.
Emily started at Werntz Memorial in the summer of 2015, shortly after moving from her hometown in Upstate New York. She graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio in 2013, with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. Emily will be starting at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in late summer 2016, accompanied by her cat, Pippa. In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, playing the violin, and traveling- including a semester abroad in Australia, where she hopes to return one day!
